Tuesday, March 25, 2014 - daytrip to Tongli

Got up blood early and went by bus to Tongli - unfortunately it was a rainy day. :s

Tongli, alternately Tong-Li is known for a system of canals, it has been given the nickname "Venice of the East". I can't quite follow that but ok:

China has sooo many cute details! :D

Well these are eggs which are being treated in a special way and crossed my path time and time again. Did not had enough courage to try them though... ;P

Entrance of Pearl Pagoda Garden - a lovely property I spent several hours on.

Well what should I say? Above detail shots speak for themselves. Just a lovely area.

Call it poor or picturesque - you choose...

Most likely one of the coolest YHI ever! :D

A fisherman with his Comoran working for him.

Look into a typical Chinese shopping street - old style.

After returning to Shanghai, I was treated to dinner at a lovely restaurant:

Looove the bubbles! And the interieur!

Afterwards we went on to Flair - a rooftop bar featured by the Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong boosting the best view of the city. We sure enjoyed it! :D

Unfortunately my camera is not good enough for sharp night shots. We were also surprised to find that the illumination of prominent buildings stopped at 10 pm sharp...
