Monday, March 31, 2014 - Huangshan

Huangshan is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Mount Huangshan and Hongcun and Xidi, the ancient villages of southern Anhui. It is a leading tourist destination in China.

For some reason we made it to none of the mentioned above but spent a rainy day in the city...

Cute - ain't they?!

Quaint Streets

An old Chinese chemist's shop

This is the back of one of the touristic shops - shocked me - it's a piece of the real Chinese daily life...

"Der will nur spielen... " ;)

If some actually life on those?!

Modern China

The gateway marking the beginning of the ancient merchant district

Electric lights in trees <3

That bridge from above at night

Rainbow drink

Flower tea

Well all in all it was a lousy day - it had rained through the night and my laundry was dripping wet. We had walked through the drizzle and I coughed a light fewer. Just one of the days when travelling is not fun. But as you can see above we still tried to make the most of it...
